Abstract

  • Introduction: The purpose of this research was aimed to identify the types of soil macrofauna in mature and immature of cocoa.
  • Materials and Methods: The research has been conducted at cocoa of smallholder, Langkat District and continued with insect identification at the Laboratory of Plant Pest, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan from April until May 2019. The research was used the quantitative descriptive methods.
  • Results: found in several orders of Hymenoptera, Orthoptera, Coleoptera, Oligochaeta, and Araneae with different numbers of macrofauna.
